Lola Health needed a full engineering function across the parts of the business software touches. Order flow, regulated lab integrations, an internal admin platform, and storefronts the team could trust day-to-day.

The brief

An at-home diagnostics product spans regulated lab integrations, doctor assignment, ordering, and an internal operations platform. Lola Health needed an engineering partner who could own the application layer end-to-end and keep the customer-facing storefronts moving alongside it.

What we shipped

  • Backend & lab integrations: Node and Express server orchestrating the order flow, lab integrations over HL7, doctor assignment, partner invoicing, and result processing.
  • Admin platform: Vue 3 internal application for operations, partner invoicing, and blood result dashboards used by clinicians and the ops team.
  • Storefronts: took over the existing Shopify storefronts (main shop and the phlebotomist finder) and now own the ongoing updates, fixes, and integrations into the backend.
  • GEO & LLM readiness: prepared the public storefront for generative search and agentic browsing, with structured data, clean server-rendered content, and the metadata that lets LLMs and AI agents understand what the product does.

Outcome

Engagement is ongoing and multi-year. Lola Health continues to run the at-home diagnostics product on the platform we built, with us as the engineering partner across product, integrations, and the storefront.
